 CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – A fugitive leader of the communist guerrillas Group was arrested through the joint law enforcement operation of the PNP and 77th Infantry Battalion on June 11, 2022, in Camalaniugan, Cagayan.

The accused with a standing warrant of arrest was identified as Rosielyn Simeon alias Jinky, 34 years old, Executive Committee member, Giyang Pulitikal, a medic, and armorer of the rebels operating in Cagayan province.

Simeon was charged with Illegal Possession, Manufacture, and Acquisition of Firearms, Ammunition, or Explosives that have no recommended bail bond. During the arrest, the arresting team recovered from the accused three cellphones, four sim cards, four memory cards, a power bank, a charger, a notebook, a flash drive, a one-thousand-peso bill, and a box of medical kit.

The warrant of arrest was issued on December 14, 2021, by Judge Edmar Pascual Castillo Sr., of Regional Trial Court, Branch 11, Tuao, Cagayan.

“We will continue to support all law enforcement operations of the PNP to track down all (rebels) with outstanding arrest warrants.  We will not stop until justice is served to their victims,” said Maj. Gen. Laurence Mina, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division. #
