Cauayan City, Isabela (February 6, 2023) – Aiming to support the recovery of the typhoon-affected families, Uniqlo and SM Foundation have been working together to make a positive impact in communities.
As part of its 5 Million donations, the fast retailing fashion brand Uniqlo donated 753 dinner wares to typhoon-affected families in Cagayan Valley, 315 sets of which are for Isabela and 438 sets are for Tuguegarao residents.
In Isabela, flood-prone residents of Brgy. Alicaocao, Cauayan City received the dinner wares which were turned over today by the volunteers of SM City Cauayan led by Assistant Mall Manager Rowinson Valmonte.
Mayor JC Dy of Cauayan City personally attended the turn-over of donations and expressed his appreciation to SM for its unending support to the local government and to Cauayenos, especially during times of calamity.
Aside from the dinner wares, SM also donated Emergency Go Bags to seven flood-prone barangays in Cauayan City. Each Emergency Go Bags contain first aid kits, oxygen tank, BP and stethoscope, pulse oximeter, thermometer, emergency bag, flashlight and thermal blanket.
To remember, the volunteers of SM City Cauayan also immediately mobilize its Operation Tulong Express and brought hot meals for the flood-affected families in evacuation sites of Brgy.Dist.1 and Brgy.Dist.3, Cauayan City right after the onslaught of Typhoon Paeng in Isabela.
Since 2012, Uniqlo and SM Foundation have been working together in spreading social good in communities, which are all intended to improve the quality of life of Filipinos.
