Cauayan City, Isabela (February 3, 2022) – Committed to help the less fortunate and vulnerable communities, SM Foundation Inc. through its Operation Tulong Express and The SM Store Cauayan donated shoes and sanitizers to DSWD Region 2 today.
About 7,000 pairs of shoes and sanitizers was turnover to the Department of Social Welfare Development. The donations were accepted by Regional Director Cezario Joel C. Espejo, Assistant RD for Administration Marciano D. Dameg and OIC Assistant RD for Administration Franco G. Lopez.
“These donations of SM Foundation and The SM Store Cauayan is a big opportunity for us, it will help many families in our community especially the vulnerable sector”, said RD Espejo.
SM Foundation Inc. through the Operation Tulong Express collaborates with DSWD in reaching its host communities to provide support and immediate relief in times of calamities, and amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are handing over these shoes and sanitizers to DSWD Region 2 as our partner in spreading social good,” said Rowinson Valmonte, Assistant Mall Manager of SM City Cauayan. On the other hand, Cielito Velasquez, Assistant Branch Manager of The SM Store Cauayan said, “We thank DSWD in helping us implement our projects, we know that these donations will benefit many.”
