FILIPINO fans were exasperated anew as Kai Sotto was benched once again as his team, the Orlando Magic lost to the Indiana Pacers, 108-85, in the 2023 NBA Summer League at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Tuesday morning (Manila time).
Although among those lined up, the 7-foot-3 Filipino center was listed as a DNP (Did Not Play-Coach’s Decision) for the second straight game as he was also not fielded in Orlando’s opener against the Detroit Pistons, wire reports said.
Kai will have another chance when the Magic will return to action against the New York Knicks on Thursday, July 13.
Sotto is one of 22 players named to the Summer League roster of the Magic.
