SANTIAGO CITY-The suspected killer of a 19-year-old Nursing student, who was found hogtied in a forested site on Sunday, was arrested after a chase from Sitio Sapang Palay, Barangay Mabini to Barangay Nabbuan at about 2:25 in the afternoon on Wednesday (June 21) here, police said.
Police Major Fedimer Quitevis, Santiago City police spokesperson and police community affairs development unit chief, said the alleged killer, Jeffrey Addam Barga, tried to elude the arresting police teams from the Santiago City police office, city police intelligence unit, and Station 1.

It could be recalled that Lyziel Joy Abogade, 19, of San Mateo town went out early from her boarding house at 4 a.m. to serve as a choir member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo for their Sunday Mass. She failed to arrive at the church bus instead found dead at past 2pm on Sunday with her feet and hands hogtied and her head tied to a tree along Palac road in Buenavista village in this city.#
