CAUAYAN CITY-The joint tactical inspection and general assembly of troops were held on Sunday, July 6 at SM City Cauayan here.
Almus Alabe, senior assistant vice president for customer relations services, said the annual inspection’s main goal is to test the administrative efficiency, training management, proficiency and emergency response skills of the security guards assigned at the malls and its affiliates to ensure the safety of mallgoers, employees and tenants.
“Security is everyone’s concern. We take it as an investment not as an expense,” he added.
The event’s main highlights include the awarding of commendation to security personnel who exemplified honest and trustworthiness by returning lost valuables of mall patrons. Some of them have also apprehended and prevented possible loss of valuables inside the mall.
Law enforcement agencies assisted the mall’s Customer Relations Services Department in the said event who feted seven security guards and eleven housekeeping workers.
“The awardees have brought honor and pride not only for themselves but also to the agency that they represent and to the [mall’s group of companies],” she added.
Law enforcers checked the security force’s firearms, uniform, paraphernalia, communication devices and other support gadgets to ensure compliance to the standards set by the company. Agency personnel for janitorial services and maintenance services of the mall are also evaluated.#
