CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela-The Department of the Interior and Local Government has conferred the 7th Seal of Good Local Governance Award to the City of Ilagan–the highest recognition and considered mother of all awards in the country–and received by Mayor Jay L. Diaz during the 2024 SGLG National Awarding Ceremony held on December 9, 2024 at the Tent City of the Manila Hotel in Metro Manila.
The award was given as a citation to the “exemplary leadership of Mayor Josemarie “Jay” Diaz and sound implementation of programs in various areas of governance such as financial administration; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace, and order; environmental management; tourism, heritage development, culture, and the arts; and youth development.
