Showing her grit after a failed first championship break, 23-year-old Amanda Anisimova maintained her composure and eventually defeated World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to reach her first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon.
Showing calmness despite hearing the glib-tongued Sabalenka, Anisimova posted her first victory over the World No. 1 in Wimbledon.
Animisova’s victory brought her to the final round wherein she will battle for the championship against No. 8 seed Iga Swiatek of Poland,who downed 35th-ranked Belinda Bencic of Switzerland 6-2, 6-0. Swiatek reached her first Wimbledon final and 6th career Grand Slam final.# LNCSportsNews
