TUGUEGARAO CITY-Six fishermen were found alive on Tuesday while six others have remained missing when the Jobhenz fishing boat, which they were occupying had capsized on Monday along the seawaters in San Vicente, Sta. Ana, Cagayan during the onslaught of Typhoon Nando.

The Philippine Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon has reported that tidal waves caused by storm surges aside from winds and rains had capsized the fishers’ boat which was then on its way to moor for safer grounds to avoid the typhoon.

Four of the fishers have been confined at the St. Anthony’s Hospital for further treatment while two others were treated of minor injuries and were sent home.

Santa Ana coast guard members and volunteers have been scouring the waters to find the six other missing fishermen on Tuesday afternoon.#
