ROXAS, Isabela-Six people, mostly students, who were on their way back to the town proper in Mountain Province, died when their car fell off a 250-meter ravine in Sitio Bunga, Barangay Catengan, Besao, Mountain Province on Thursday (April 21), police and disaster officials said.  

Fatalities were Rhema Sumingwa, Grade 12 of Besao National High School (BNHS); Merly Docyogen, Grade 12 of St. James High School of Mountain Province, Inc. (SJHSMPI); Hazel Solang, Grade 12 of SJHSMPI and resident of Bab-asig, Quirino, Ilocos Sur; . Johnwin Aligan, Grade 8 of Panabungen School of Arts, Trades and Home Industries (PSATHI), also of Bab-asig, Quirino, Ilocos Sur; Kawi Mangallay, Grade 12 of PSATHI, also of Bab-asig, Quirino, Ilocos Sur, and Lyndel Kieth Alfonso, driver and out-of-school youth.

Still in critical condition are Novielyn Sagantiyoc, Grade 12 of BNHS, and Lander Maticyeg, Grade 10 of PSATHI, both of Bab-asig, Quirino, Ilocos Sur. Both were initially brought to the Besao District Hospital.

The victims came from an examination in Laylaya, Besao, Mountain Province when their car fell off the ravine.#
