Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City – An illegal drug bust operation by Police Regional Office 2 in coordination with PDEA, yielded to the arrest of a drug personality and confiscation of Php47,600.00 worth of Shabu in Balzain East, Tuguegarao City at around 7:00PM today.
The subject of the said police operation was the 48-year-old businessman regarded as Regional Priority 10, High Value Individual.
Illegal drug evidencw recovered in said operation include six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected Shabu weighing 7 grams, a genuine 1,000-peso bill used as buy bust money and 16 pieces One Thousand Peso bill as boodle money.
Behind the successful anti-illegal drug operation were the joint operatives of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 2 (RDEU2), Provincial Intelligence Unit/Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PIU/PDEU), Tuguegarao City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division (RID) and 1st Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC)
Police Brigadier General Christopher Birung, PRO2 Regional Director commended the efforts and hard work of the operatives behind this successful operation. He said that the apprehension of the HVI is a huge feat in PRO2’s anti-illegal drug campaign. Birung guaranteed the public that the Home of the Valley Cops will continue its aggressive and honest law enforcement operations, particularly its drive against illicit drugs to lower the supply and demand of illegal substances in the region.
