Cases have been filed against the identified suspects in the robbery of a pawnshop in Banggot, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.
According to PMaj. Novalyn Aggasid, spokesperson of Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO), after the police investigation, the thieves who broke into the pawnshop were immediately identified.
Wherein, they created a tunnel 700 meters long underground leading to the inside of the pawnshop. As of now, the case of Attempted Robbery has been filed against the suspects through regular filing.
According to the employees of the said pawnshop, past 7:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, they discovered a hole in the floor of their office, so they immediately checked their valuable items.
It was found that the suspects attempted to open the vault using acetylene, but they failed to break it, so they did not get any money. There have been no reports of missing money or jewelry at their place. The employee immediately called the police station, and the authorities promptly responded.
Based on the police investigation, the suspects may have run out of time and were disturbed, which is why they did not succeed in their malicious plan.
Their investigation also revealed that the suspects had a lookout outside, which allowed them to dig underground, especially since there was no guard at the pawnshop and their alarm was not working.#
