TUGUEGARAO CITY- Anti-drug agents seized P720,000-worth dried marijuana bricks from an alleged high-value target in an entrapment operation in Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The members of the lead team, PDEA-Region 2 collared the suspect identified only as Larry, a 22-year-old college student from Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga. Anti-drug operatives from PDEA-Kalinga and Isabela and police drug enforcement unit teams from Kalinga province and Cordillera region joined the operation.

His two accomplices, identified as John-John and Edmar, all residents of Nambaran, Tabuk City, allegedly escaped and are still at large.

Probers said the six bricks of dried marijuana, weighing six kilos, were brought to the PDEA custody.

Agents also seized the buy-bust money, two motorcycles and a cellphone from the suspected drug dealer.

Witnesses included members of the media, the National Prosecution Service and a barangay official.

Larry has been indicted for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the prosecutor’s office in Tabuk City.#
