CAMP MARCELO A. ADDRU, TUGUEGARAO CITY – Police Regional Office 2’s Monday flag raising ceremony highlighted the awarding of medals to Valley Cops with meritorious operational accomplishments which was held at the PRO2 grandstand yesterday.
Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Police Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Balais for the arrest of alias “Gibo”, Top 1 Most Wanted Person (City Level) for the crime of Rape. Police Chief Master Sergeant Antonette Baquirin also received the same recognition for the apprehension of alias “Dodong”, Top 9 Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level) for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Law on Anti-Violence against Women and their Children.
Moreover, Medalya ng Papuri was granted to Police Lieutenant Gilbert Columna for the arrest of alias “Romy” for two counts of Rape; Police Staff Seargent Marc Pelovello for the capture of alias “Bobby” for four counts of Rape; and Patrolman Jayson Lucas for the arrest of alias “Doming” for violation of Republic Act 7610 otherwise known as Anti-Child Abuse Law.
Meanwhile, Police Colonel Jefferson P Cariaga, Chief, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD) served as the speaker wherein he coined the terms “Thank God it’s Monday.” Police Colonel Cariaga emphasized the need of giving importance towards works and treating it as a stewardship. He also urged everyone to grow through the seasons of life and discover the significance of each.
The traditional Monday flag raising ceremony was graced by Police Brigadier General Romaldo Bayting, Deputy Regional Director for Administration; Police Colonel Ramil Saculles, Deputy Regional Director for Operations; Police Colonel Mariano Rodriguez, Chief Regional Staff; other PRO2 and Regional Support Units Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed workers. # (PNP PRO2)
