THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has registered at least 17,323 overseas Filipinos in the pre-voting enrollment system for May 12, 2025 elections.
These people have enrolled for the online voting and counting system (OVCS), which started on March 20 and will last until May 7, 2025.
Election officials announced that voters can do the pre-voting enrollment through their own internet-capable device, voting kiosks at the Philippine Posts, or the field or mobile pre-voting-scheduled enrollment.
Filipinos abroad are also raring to exercise their right of suffrage.
Hats off to all Filipinos abroad.

Is it better late than never?
The Department of Agriculture (DA) is planning to impose a maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) on garlic to prevent possible profiteering by unscrupulous traders and cohorts.
The Agriculture honchos prop up their claim that the proposal to impose an MSRP on garlic has been discussed but was placed on hold.
The reason: The price per kilo dropped to around P100, down from a peak of P160, which is double the estimated landed cost of P80 per kilo.
Despite the influx of local garlic, significant volume is still being sourced from China, which account for about 95-percent of the market supply.
Sounds a double talk again for the Agriculture department and most of their public strategists who pounce on unsuspecting people?
Questions pop always.#
