The Schools’ Division Office of the City of Ilagan and the local government unit joined the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new SDO headquarters site held in Ilagan City, yesterday October 2, 2023.
Eduardo Escorpiso Jr, the Schools Division Superintendent of Ilagan led the event together with City Mayor Jay Diaz and various members of his council.
Present also to the event was Nelia Mabuti, the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and a crowd of red and white clad teachers from the city to witness the ceremony.
The groundbreaking commenced shortly after the signing of agreements between the SDO officials and LGU Ilagan.
“Nagpapasalamat po in behalf of our teachers ng Ilagan sa ating LGU na pinapangunahan ng ating butihing Mayor sa pagbigay po ng lote na gagamitin sa pagpapatayo ng aming Schools’ Division Office at hindi lang po iyan, talagang nag-uumapaw po ang mga biyayang ibinibigay sa City of Ilagan sa Department of Education gaya ng nabanggit ko kanina marami po silang project na ibinibigay hindi lang sa Division Office kundi sa mga eskwelahan ng ating mga bata,” Escorpiso Jr said
The superintendent also added that they were delighted for the donation of the site and will eventually convert the old SDO office as a training and workshop center for students and teachers in the city.#
