Through the cooperation of the Department of Labor and Employment-Quirino Field Office and the Local Government Unit (LGU) through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the Tinapa Makers Association of Diffun, Quirino received P250,570.00 in livelihood assistance and comprehensive business training.
The training, which took place on February 13, 2025, at the Diffun Municipal Function Hall, covered fundamental business subjects such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s presentation on registration and invoicing, marketing strategies, entrepreneurship, values formation, occupational safety and health, and basic bookkeeping.
In order to give participants the abilities and information required to maintain and expand their enterprises, DOLE employees and Quirino Provincial PESO Manager Daniphine Badua led these seminars.
Froctoso C. Agustin, DOLE Quirino Officer-In-Charge, stressed the value of the training in guaranteeing livelihood program success and resolving previous issues where only a small number of associations prospered.
“You [the recipients] must make the most of the offered training and resources.” Agustin said at the ceremony, “Your success not only reflects the government’s efforts but also contributes to the broader goal of economic improvement.” he added.
On February 14, the program came to an end with an award ceremony where the association was given supplies and equipment for making smoked salmon.#
