CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela-Mayor Josemarie “Jay” Diaz was formally inducted into office by Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano III during the oathtaking rites at the Capital Arena on June 28 here.
In his speech, Mayor Diaz said he is extending his arms in friendship “and let all be the past be buried now into oblivion.”
“I am extending my arms for genuine reconciliation and friendship…let unity in the heart of every Ilagueno [grows] together,” he added.
His son, Jay Eveson “Jayve” Diaz took his oath as vice mayor before LPGMA partylist Rep. Allan Ty.
“I will assure you that there will be a city council with fairness and equality,” the younger Diaz said.
The city council members later took their oath before Mayor Diaz.#
