CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela-In his second season of three-year terms,  Mayor Josemarie “Jay” Diaz will be gunning for his third consecutive term as local chief executive in this city.

He was joined by his son, incumbent three-term Councilor Jay Eveson “Jayve” Diaz, who will run for vice mayor in a father-and-son tandem as they filed their certificates of candidacy at the election office on October 8 here.

The 59-year-old mayor is running under the Partido Federal ng Filipinas (PFP) alongside his son.

Diaz said his son was picked by group leaders after a majority consensus of members.

Another son of the mayor, Isabela labor sector representative Evyn Jay “EJ” Diaz has filed his CoC as a regular board member in the province.

“There is more to be done even though we had almost achieved the dreams of the city a livable place by 2030. We have attained economic success in the city but there are still more to be done. We have a competitive city now. We have gained awards and success but there will be more programs for the Ilaguenos,” he told reporters here.
