SANTA ANA, Cagayan – After Typhoon Nando severely damaged 38 schools with 138 classrooms, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. promised to expedite the repair of facilities under the Department of Education in Cagayan.

About 177 schools with 525 classrooms have minor damage.

Approximately 38,254 students were affected, along with 1,978 teachers and 417 non-teaching staff.

In this regard, the teachers and students of Santa Ana Fishery National High School (SAFNHS) were delighted by the President’s personal visit to their school.

Eldie Articulo, principal of SAFNHS, stated that the upcoming immediate repair of the storm-damaged structures will be a great help. #
