NUEVA VIZCAYA – Former senator and senatorial candidate Kiko Pangilinan brought his campaign for food security and a free breakfast program to Nueva Vizcaya during his visit on May 1, emphasizing his clean track record and continued support for farmers and students.

“I’ve always won here in Nueva Vizcaya. In all three times I ran, you trusted me—and I hope you’ll trust me again this fourth time,” Pangilinan said in a meeting with local officials.

He vowed to push for the full implementation of the Sagip Saka Act, a law he authored in 2019 that allows government agencies to purchase directly from farmers and fisherfolk.

Pangilinan also highlighted his proposed “Free Breakfast” program for public school students, aiming to fight hunger while supporting local agriculture. “Half of the program’s budget will go directly to our farmers and fisherfolk,” he added.

Running a volunteer-led campaign, he stressed the importance of fair elections. “I’m running for those who still believe there is hope for the Philippines. That we can win without spending billions,” Pangilinan said.#
