Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City – A government employee classified as a High Value Individual was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya at around 5PM today.
Upon consummation of the drug trade between the suspect and a police operative who posed as poseur buyer, the former was immediately taken into custody and apprised of his rights.
Search incidental to the lawful arrest was also conducted which resulted in the recovery of six plastic sachets containing alleged “Shabu” with an estimated weight of 0.36 gram amounting to Php2,448. Also confiscated from the direct possession of the drug personality was the one thousand peso bill buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia and other non-drug evidence.
Personnel of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Nueva Vizcaya PPO and Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit of Bayombong Police Station spearheaded the anti-illegal drug operation in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 2.
The suspect will be facing a criminal charge for violation of Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165.
