Foundever®, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, announced today that it is blending its anniversary celebration with marine life conservation. Foundever recently marked 21 years in Baguio City by helping protect the endangered pawikan or sea turtles of the Philippines.
On June 6, Foundever turned its team-building activity into a fundraising event for the Pawikan Conservation Center in Morong, Bataan.
During the anniversary celebration held at the Vista Venice Highlands Resort in Morong, Bataan, Foundever associates gamely engaged in a day of physical challenges and collective action to create real-world support for the Philippines’ endangered sea turtles.
Using the United Heroes app, the associates logged each step, sprint and stretch to earn “activity points”.
The total activity points earned were converted into funds for purchasing gear and supplies for the center’s dedicated conservation volunteers. These include essentials like heavy-duty jackets and long-sleeved protective clothing — critical gear for those working long hours under the sun to protect and rehabilitate sea turtle nesting grounds.
“This year, we wanted to honor not just our company’s growth, but also to fulfill our responsibility to help preserve the environment. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability, wellness and making a positive social impact, so that the communities where we live and work can thrive together with us,” said Vida Haboc, Senior Director for Operations at Foundever in Baguio.
In the lead-up to the event, associates were also invited to donate new or slightly used protective clothing, helping ensure the volunteers at the conservation center are equipped to continue their vital work safely and comfortably.
“This kind of activity reminds us that we’re part of something bigger — that we can celebrate, connect and still make a tangible difference,” said Haboc.#
