TUGUEGARAO CITY- 53-year-old Filipino-American Ron Falconi, incumbent Brunswick Mayor and Republican candidate conceded to his opponent, Melanie Murphy-Miller, after losing the 67th Ohio House District primary elections on August 3.
“I will continue my term as mayor (of Brunswick),” Falconi told this correspondent in a chat message on Thursday, adding that although he was “disappointed,” he would live “to fight another day.”
Falconi, who was born to Filipino parents who migrated to the United States, said he contacted Melanie Murphy Miller and congratulated her “on her impressive win. I also told her that she has my support and endorsement to be the next State Representative for the 67th Ohio House District.”
Falconi is mayor of Brunswick since 2013. He was a Brunswick council member from 2008 to 2013.#
