Filipina tennis star Alex Eala moved into the Round of 8, Quarterfinals, as World No. 20 Jelena Ostapenko retired due to an injury at the Lexus Eastbourne Open.
Blanked in the first set with 6-0, the World No. 74-ranked Eala rebounded in th second set, 6-2.
In the third set, Eala was leading 3-2 when Ostapenko took a medical timeout.
Ostapenko later retired due to an injury, giving the victory to Eala.#
