TUGUEGARAO CITY-The newly-built P2.6-million chapel at the Cagayan Valley Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (CVRRCY) in Roma Norte, Enrile, Cagayan has been opened to the public to serve as a spiritual haven for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICLs).

Funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act, the chapel was inaugurated on December 8 during the 3rd “Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya” event organized by the Office of the President. It now hosts regular Sunday services and devotional activities for the CICLs.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old CICL resident expressed how the chapel and spiritual programs have deepened his faith and brought a renewed sense of purpose.

“Fifteen ako noong unang mag-church pero hindi consistent. Simula nang pumasok ako rito, naging consistent na ako. Dahil sa morning at evening devotions, natuto po akong manalangin at mas lumalim ang faith ko,” he told the PIA in a release.#
