CAGAYAN-The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) has affirmed its commitment to delivering quality public employment services as it was named Regional Winner in the 2024 Search for Best PESO – Job Placement Office Category on July 10, 2025, in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
This recognition received by Mr. Reynold Alibania, Senior Manpower Development Officer and Mr. James Matalang, Labor and Employment Productivity Specialist marks CEZA’s fourth consecutive win since 2021—a remarkable achievement that highlights the consistent efforts and dedication of its Labor and Visa Services Division.
In 2024 alone, CEZA took part in 27 job fairs, facilitated nine local recruitment activities, and organized its own job fair—connecting job seekers with meaningful employment.
As an economic zone, CEZA plays a vital role in job creation within the Cagayan Freeport, successfully generating 3,095 jobs for Filipinos last year.
Of these, 2,537 positions—or 81.97%—were filled by Cagayanos, reinforcing CEZA’s commitment to empowering local communities and fostering inclusive growth.#
