TUGUEGARAO CITY-Former Ilocos Sur governor and now 2025 senatorial aspirant Luis “Chavit” C. Singson has received an outpour of support and positive views on his VBank app and his “Chavit 500” proposal following his sorties in this city and in other areas in Cagayan.

Villager Servilon Nicolas as an “easy way” to do banking without the usual hassles of going to the bank while government worker Gene Valentin-Baquiran described the VBank app as “easy as A-B-C” and could be availed in a matter of two to four minutes.

Speaking before the media in a news briefing at The Ve’Nue hotel in Caggay village on December 20, Singson has described the VBank as a wider perspective of his vision of a banking app.

“The future of financial empowerment in the country through VBank will create more economic growth and opportunities such as in areas with limited access to financial services,” Singson added.

The business tycoon said the app would bring “far-reaching strides in financial inclusion efforts in the country” that will “empower people” in communities.

Putting away tedious and cumbersome requirements in opening a bank account, Singson’s VBank said it eliminates long queues and enables users to open a bank account entirely through the VBank app wherein they can send money to all banks and digital wallets, pay bills and even purchase mobile loads.#
