CAUAYAN CITY-The student-writers of Cagayan once again raised the flag at the Regional Schools Press Conference or RSPC after winning the championship during the four-day event on April 6 to 9 held in this city.

The victory marked the third consecutive year that the province has been the overall champion, Dr. Reynante Caliguiran, Schools Division Superintendent of Cagayan, said.

He expressed gratitude for the help and support of the leaders in the qualifiers and for the continuous training to achieve the victory.

Isabela came in second while Tuguegarao City came in third overall.

In the individual competitions, Isabela led in secondary but was only second in elementary.

In the search for best campus newspapers, Cagayan, Tuguegarao City and Isabela all recorded first place.

Isabela led in the group competitions in Collaborative Desktop Publishing (English and Filipino) and Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting (Filipino). Isabela only finished third in secondary.

However, Isabela has 26 qualifiers that will attend the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) to be held in Vigan City in May 2025 as five of them topped the individual and three teams in the group competitions.

In elementary, Jayden Manipon of La Salette of Roxas topped the Column Writing-English while Maria Kristina Cassandra Lampitoc of Pulay-Union Kalinga Elementary School-Luna District won the News Writing-English.

King Gelo Corpuz of Benito Soliven Central School won the Sports Writing-Filipino.

In secondary, Koleen Kate Cadiente of San Mariano National High School topped the Editorial Cartooning-Filipino and Aveline Buella of Angadanan National High School topped the Column Writing-Filipino.

Meanwhile, the TV Broadcasting Team (Secondary-Filipino) of Cauayan, was crowned champions. The team consists of Aldwyn Delmendo, Paula Arzadon, Angelo Gamboa, Reese Aguinaldo, Alliyah Uy, Tiffany Sayo, and Cedric Francisco.

The City of Ilagan, through Ang Kabataan of Isabela National High School, consisting of Mischa Catindig, Carl Bunagan, Faith Gatan, Kimberly Manalo, and Bea Mei Navarro, emerged champions in Online Publishing.

In secondary news writing in Filipino, Maria Hazel Anne Albano of Cauayan City took the championship plum.

Christian Diether Costales of St. Paul University in Tuguegarao City won the championship in Editorial Writing-Filipino.#
