The body of a minor who drowned in the Cagayan River last Friday, February 28, was found today, Sunday, March 02, 2025.
Cecille Domingo, station manager of the Task Force Lingkod Cagayan-Quick Response Team (TFLC-QRT) Amulung station, one of those who conducted the search and rescue operation, reported that the victim’s body was found floating in the area of Brgy. Nassiping in the town of Gattaran.
The body of the teenager Johnmark Costales, 16 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Carallangan, was positively identified.
Domingo said that the victim’s family themselves confirmed that the found body was their relative who drowned last Friday.
It was initially reported that the victim fell from a passenger boat when he was stricken by epilepsy, which possibly caused his drowning.#
