Sa inilabas na kautusan ng Malacañang, pinagtibay at nilagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagkakatalaga sa kanya.

Nanilbihan siya ng anim na taon bilang Medical Center Chief ng Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) sa Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

Sa panahon ng paninilbihan nito, isinulong niya ang kanyang ang 10-Year Hospital Development Plan, nakapaloob dito ang mga pagsasaayos ng mga gusali, pasilidad, at ang pagdaragdag ng mga medical equipment na tutugon sa pangangailangan ng publiko.

Sa panunungkulan niya sa CVMC, nagkaroon ng specialty centers na nagagamit tulad ng Cancer Center, Acute Stroke Unit, Cardiovascular Unit, Pulmonary Unit, Molecular Laboratory, at iba pa.

Napabilis rin daw ang pag-access ng mga pasyente sa iba’t ibang Emergency Room, Out Patient Department at iba pang pasilidad na nakatutulong sa pangangailangang medikal ng mga pasyente.#

The 2nd Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army led by Col. Monib T. Mamao, Group Commander in partnership with the United States Army Reserve headed by Lt. Col. Sarkis Kitsinian, Battalion Commander, 3303rd Mobilization Support Group formally opened the Philippine Army Reservist Mobilization Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) held at Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz (Annex), Soyung, Echague, Isabela on April 9, 2024.

The SMEE is part of the SALAKNIB 2024 exercises, serving as a platform for Subject Matter Experts from 2RCDG, RESCOM, PA and the USAR to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices in various reserve force development and mobilization.

The Group Commander, 2RCDG, RESCOM, PA extends its heartfelt gratitude to counterparts from the United States Army Reserve for engaging in this significant endeavor, exchanging expertise, knowledge, and best practices to better develop and administer the Reserve Force.#

Matapos ang isinagawang monitoring at validation sa iligal na aktibidad ng suspek ay agad silang naglunsad ng operasyon laban sa kanya.

Sa bisa naman ng inilabas na search warrant ng korte ay matagumpay na hinalughog ng mga otoridad ang bahay ni Alyas Makoy. Nakumpiska sa loob ng bahay ng suspek ang isang caliber 38 na baril, iba’t ibang uri ng mga bala, mga residue ng hinihinalang shabu, at iba’t ibang mga drug paraphernalia.

Matapos ang paghalughog sa bahay ng suspek ay nakita naman ng mga otoridad sa compound ng kanyang bahay ang mga hindi dokumentadong tinistis na narra lumber na aabot sa 1,336 bdft. at nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P100,000.

Agad kinumpiska ng mga otoridad ang mga nakuhang ebidensya at sa ngayon ay sinampahan na si Alyas Makoy ng patung-patong na kasong paglaglabag sa RA 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, RA 10591 o Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, at PD 705 o ang iligal na pangangahoy.#

Napagtagumpayang makumpiska rito ang dalawang pirasong pakete na hinihinalang shabu na may bigat na humigit kumulang 0.05 gramo at SDP na humigit kumulang Php340.00 (buy bust item); isang pirasong genuine 500-peso bill (buy bust money); at isang unit ng Cellular phone (Oppo).

Samantala, isinagawa naman agad ang imbentaryo at pagmamarka ng mga nasamsam na ebidensya sa pinangyarihan ng operasyon kung saan ito’y nasaksihan ng DOJ Representative, at Barangay officials ng lugar.

Ang suspek maging ang mga ebidensya ay dinala sa himpilan ng Cordon para sa dokumentasyon at naaayong disposisyon. #

Ang UPER ay ang sistema ng PNP upang sukatin ang husay at epektibong serbisyo ng bawat PNP Units base sa Administrative at Operational accomplishments kung saan namayagpag ang Isabela PPO kumpara sa ibang Police Provincial Office ng buong Rehiyon 2 kagaya ng Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Viscaya, Santiago at Batanes PPO.

As a result of PRO Cordillera’s continuous fight against illegal drugs, two drug personalities were arrested and a total of Php76,800.00 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Baguio City and Benguet on April 6, 2024.

In Baguio City, the joint operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), City Intelligence Unit, and Police Station 5 of the Baguio City Police Office successfully arrested a 25-year-old female and a 34-year-old male, both listed as High Value Individuals, in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy City Camp Central that resulted in the confiscation of one gram of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php6,800.00.

The markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the suspects and witnesses and were later brought to CDEU for documentation and proper disposition.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in Benguet, the joint operatives of Bakun Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Benguet Police Provincial Office, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR conducted a marijuana eradication operation in Sitio Damuco, Brgy Kayapa, Bakun that resulted in the discovery of a marijuana plantation site planted with more or less than 350 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with an SDP of Php70,000,00.

All the marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on site after proper documentation and samples were taken for submission to the Regional Forensic Unit- Cordillera, while an ongoing investigation is being conducted for the arrest of the possible suspects.#

A total of PhP132,810.00 worth of illegal drugs was seized during the separate anti-illegal drug operations against a listed high-value target (HVT) and a PNP-PDEA watch listed in San Mateo, Isabela, today, April 7, 2024.

According to the report, at around 4:10 AM, joint forces of San Mateo PS, PDEA RO2, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), Isabela Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Isabela PMFC Regional Intelligence Unit 2, Regional Maritime Unit 2, and CECU Cauayan implemented a search warrant against Alias Reg (arrested), 32 years old, married, listed as HVT, and Alias “Rod” (at-large) driver, PDEA-PNP Watch list, and both residents of Brgy. IV, San Mateo, Isabela.

Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were 24 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 13 grams and amounting to Php 88,400.00 based on the Standard Drug Price (SDP); one (1) medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet with a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 3.4 grams, amounting to Php 23,120.00 SDP; five (5) pieces of self-sealing plastic sachets containing dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, with an estimated weight of 33 grams, amounting to Php 4,290.00 SDP; and other drug paraphernalia.

Likewise, at about 4:40 AM on the same day, a search warrant was served against the alias “Ron” (at-large). Confiscated during the operation were seven (7) pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing MOL 2.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated SDP of Php17,000.00; two (2) pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu residue; and other drug paraphernalia.

On the other hand, personnel of San Mateo PS are currently conducting manhunt operations for the possible apprehension of the two (2) at-large drug suspects. The said anti-drug operations were done in an orderly and peaceful manner in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by the barangay officials.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to San Mateo PS for documentation and proper disposition. Cases for violation of R.A. No. 9165 is being prepared against the suspects.

PBGen Christopher C Birung, Regional Director, lauded the operating units for the successful operation that resulted in the arrest of the big-time drug pusher. “Police Regional Office 2, under my stint, will do our best to intensify our campaign against illegal drugs and capture those big-time drug peddlers in order to make Cagayan Valley Region a safer place to live in,” he said.

PBGen Birung also asks the public to continuously support the government in its fight against criminality by reporting any suspicious activities and incidents in their locality.#

As the 1st week of April kicked-off, the US Army Fires Planners for SALAKNIB Exercise 2024 paid a courtesy call to the Regiment Commander of the Army Artillery Regiment at HAAR, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

The planners from the participating units coordinated and discussed the objectives and details of the PH-US Combined Exercise Salaknib 2024 (SN24) to ensure that the activities will be implemented accordingly. Said exercise is part of the programs of the two countries to strengthen military cooperation.#

As part of their effort to promote environmental awareness and encourage the community to take responsibility for protecting the environment, the Haggiyo Cops of Ifugao Police Provincial Office successfully conducted a Tree Planting Activity in Brgy. Gohang, Banaue, Ifugao on April 5, 2024.

According to the 2nd Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company, a total of 82 mahogany and narra tree seedlings were planted in replacement of withered plants to ensure the proper growth of trees, preserve nature and contribute to the beauty along the national highway.

The activity was actively participated by the police officers from 2nd Ifugao PMFC, ICS Grade 12 Students, and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terrorismo members of Banaue.

Further, the activity is in line with the Philippine National Police’s Core Values “MAKAKALIKASAN” which aims to enjoin the community, especially the youths to actively participate in activities that promotes environment protection and nature preservation.#

The Philippine Marine Corps’ Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 (MBLT-10), together with dedicated reservists, conducted vital exercise  “HONASAN” 02-24 to safeguard Batan Island, Batanes, and Calayan Island, Cagayan, from potential external threats.

Employing precision patrols and unwavering surveillance, the Marines meticulously secured the coastal perimeters guaranteeing the safety and integrity of Philippine territory. This exercise serves as a testament to the Marines’ capability and unwavering commitment to defending the Philippines’ sovereignty, the battalion said in a release.#
