TUGUEGARAO CITY-Breed dogs shone in the American Bully Dog Show World while fur parents were reminded to take care of their dogs during the typhoon season held at a private mall on July 26 afternoon.
According to organizers from the Philippine-American Bully Registry and private organizations, although most bullies and other breeds of dogs look fierce and brave, the dog show showcased the beauty and gentleness of the nearly 50 dogs that participated in the competition.
The competition aims to dispel the misconception that American Bully dogs and other types of brave dogs are brave and fearsome, because they are said to be affectionate and ideal companions for fur parents, organizers announced.
Cali, a Siberian Husky owned by Kyrios Carag, participated in the competition. The kennel was also one of the winners of the award for its intelligence, good grooming and proper care by its owner.
Kyrios said in an interview with this correspondent that Cali is a good pet and helping in search and rescue operations especially when there is a disaster.
“My father taught us to take good care of our dogs and other pets. I love dogs so will not abandon them. We have also a Shi Tzu and is still alive for 18 years now,” he added.
“While the dogs are young, do not neglect them and especially when they grow up, they will not become weird because as they grow up, if you do not teach them well, they will become weird. And when they grow up, it is not easy to take care of bigger dogs,” he said.
The dogs participated in all breed fun show and won titles of best small breed, best medium breed, best large breed, and best in show, among others.
“Through such competition, the organizers hope to inspire those in the field of dog care. They also believe that through such activities, the public can see the importance of loving and being responsible for pet dogs,” organizers said.#
