AS the country celebrates the Chinese New Year for this year 2025, also known as the Spring Festival, it is also high time to prop up joy, renewal, and family togetherness.

Festive as it is, the Lunar New Year can be celebrated within the comfort of our homes or outside to bring harmony with the family.

How? One will be having a positive atmosphere that can be reverberated within the confines of the homes to spice up luck and prosperity. Chinese-Filipinos usually hang red lanterns and display oranges so symbolize abundance and good fortune.

Cooking and eating together for a family are also vital as Chinese-Filipinos love dumplings, spring rolls, and noodles for long life and wealth aside from sweet glutinous rice balls and sticky rice cakes.

Lunar New Year is also much-celebrated by watching movies, television soap, or documentaries related to Chinese, or personally watch dragon and lion dances or Chinese opera.

Traditional cash-filled red angpaos, coupons and family treats are also a sync while people learn and imbibe the customs and traditions of the Chinese New Year.

As the Year of the Snake poses challenges, it symbolizes wisdom and transformation that offers vast opportunities.
