SANTIAGO CITY-At least 600 families were benefited in the Integrated Disaster Shelters Program Assistance payout held at the Santiago Sports Arena in the presence of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.
The said families were first affected by previous Typhoons Nika and Pepito.
Each family received P30,000 for their totally damaged houses while each family received P10,000 for their partially damaged houses.
The houses were first assessed through a pre-assessment and evaluation by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.
Up to P9.3-million was distributed to the beneficiaries. Senator Go also donated fastfood packs, groceries, clothes and hats, balls and other items. The senator later traveled to Tabuk City for the opening of the Super Health Center after the program in Santiago City.#
