CAUAYAN CITY-About thousand student-qualifiers from school divisions in Cagayan Valley have been competing for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) competition from April 6 to 9, 2025 here.
Based on the theme “Galing, Talino, and Husay ng mga Batang Makabansa sa Diwa ng Matatag na Adhika,” it aims to develop the creative journalism prowess of student participants from Tuguegarao City, Isabela, Batanes, Quirino, City of Ilagan, Cagayan, Santiago City, Nueva Vizcaya, and Cauayan City, according to Dr. Octavio Cabasag, chief of the Curriculum Learning Management Division (CLMD) in DepEd-Region 2.
The individual events of the competition include News Writing, Feature Writing, Editorial Writing, Column Writing, Sports Writing, Science and Technology Writing, Cartooning, Copy Reading, and Photojournalism while the group events are Radio and TV Broadcasting, Online Publishing, and Collaborative Desktop Publishing.
The champions of the competition will participate in the National Schools Press Conference to be held in Vigan City.
The Cagayan Valley is among the Top 5 performing NSPC regions.#
