BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya- A 65-year-old man, after confronting his stepson who went home at 6 a.m. on March 25 after a drinking spree since Monday night, died when his head was smashed with a stainless jug inside their house in Baretbet, Bagabag town in this province.
Police Major Oscar Abrogena, Bagabag police chief, said the victim and the 46-year-old stepson engaged in a fistfight when the latter arrived home drunk.
His stepfather later fell. He later used his stainless jug and smashed it on his stepfatherโs head.
Due to profuse bleeding on his head, he was brought to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
Neighbors later called village officials for failing to pacify the two men. Village officials and police later arrived and arrested the suspect.
A homicide case has been filed against the stepson, who was allegedly sleepless for having personal problems. #
