4 Chinese dead in PDEA-led buy-bust in Pampanga; P262-M shabu seized

Four Chinese were confirmed dead after engaging in a firefight with law enforcement agents led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of P262.2-million worth shabu in Angeles City, Pampanga on Monday.

In a statement, PDEA said that the four Chinese nationals who died during the operation at a subdivision in Angeles’ Barangay Pulong Cacutud were identified as Cai Ya Bing Alias “Cai”, 29 years old, from Yuncheng City; Shanxi Erbo Ke Alias “Payat”, 34 years old, from Quanzhou City, Fujian; Huang Guidong, 43 years old, from Zhang Zhou, Fujian; Wuyuan Shen (or Jinpeng Zhang), 41 years old, from Zhang Zhou, Fujian.

All four were armed with .45 caliber pistols that were used against the government operatives.

Aside from this, anti-drug agents recovered 38 kilograms of suspected shabu or crystal meth, with an estimated street value of P262.2 million. Two smartphones and a digital weighing scale were also seized from the crime scene.

The composite team include PDEA’s Region 3 team, PDEA-Intelligence and Investigation Service, PDEA Special Enforcement Service, PDEA’s NCR office, the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Task Force NOAH, the Philippine National Police’s anti-drug unit in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office’s Regional Intelligence Division, the Bureau of Customs, and the Angeles City Police.#
