TUGUEGARAO CITY-Fishers found at least 37 packs of alleged shabu weighing 34 kilos in separate barangays in Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur on June 7.
In a press statement on Sunday, Police Major Paul Vinsent Tadeo, Sta. Cruz police chief, said fishers earlier found 12 packs of shabu along the seawaters in Dili village, weighing 12-kilo and worth P81.6-million. The fishermen surrendered the items to the police.
In Mantanas village, also in Santa Cruz, at least 25 packs of alleged shabu were found by other fishers, weighing 22 kilos worth P149.6-million. These were also turned over to the police.
Tadeo said they have been probing the source of the alleged shabu and the culprits.
The items were turned over to the police laboratory for examination and custody.#
