Another set of Cordillera cops are set to undergo the Basic Internal Operations Course (BISOC) as the class formally opened during a simple ceremony held at Philex Mines, Itogon, Benguet on October 15, 2021.

A total of 202 police officers, of which 162 are males and 40 are females, from the different Police Provincial Offices and City Police Office in PROCOR comprised the BISOC Class 26-2021 RCOR Alpha to Echo company.

The ceremony was graced by PBGEN LAWRENCE COOP, PROCOR Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA), as the guest of honor and speaker.

In his message, PBGEN COOP further emphasized to the participants the importance of the course that they will be attending. Also, he encouraged them to learn as much as they can from the training as it will equip them with the proper knowledge and skills needed in field operations.

“The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in combat. The pain you might encounter today will build your strength and confidence and will bring you home winners of your battles,” PBGEN COOP added.

The Basic Internal Security Operations Course is a three-month rigid training and is a foundation course for police officers to be familiarized with combat operation skills in the field. It also prepares police officers to be highly effective and efficient in internal security operations as they will be trained and be equipped with the different strategies in combating insurgency, criminality, and terrorism.
