First Secretary and Agricultural Attachรฉ of the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines, Akasaka Hidenori led the turn over ceremonies of a cold storage and Mokusaku (wood vinegar) facilities at Abatan, Buguias, Benguet, on March 19, 2025.
These facilities were constructed and installed under the 3-year project titled โSafe Vegetable Production Technology Dissemination and Vegetable Distribution System Improvement Projectโ led by the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC), in partnership of the Department of Agriculture.
The Municipality of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya represented by the Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Rufin D. Fernandez, is one of the recipients of Mokosaku facility.
Benguet governor Hon. Melchor D. Diclas, Buguias Mayor Hon. Ruben L. Tinda-an, Department of Agriculture (DA) Assistant Secretary Joycel R. Panlilio, Japan Agricultural Exchange Council Chairman Mr. Masami Sotome, JAEC Project Administrator Mr. Ryogi Sakamoto, JAEC Senior Local Coordinator Mr. Hiroshi Kodama, JAEC Local Coordinator Mr. Seiya Yoshida, ATI Assistant Director Niet Arceo, and Mr. Jhimcelle V. Salvador, OIC-Assistant Center Director of ATI-TC 02 were present during the turn over ceremonies.#
